Q: What wrist size does this bangle fit?
A: This open cuff is best for wrists up to about 15.5 cm in circumference. Because it is a rigid metal cuff, please choose based on wrist size rather than hand size and avoid forcing it on; if you are close to the limit, measure your wrist with a tape or ribbon for accuracy.

Q: Is the bangle adjustable?
A: It has an open cuff entry for ease of putting on, but it is not designed to be bent for sizing. Repeated bending can stress the plating, settings and rhinestones. If you need a different fit, we recommend selecting a bracelet with a larger inner circumference rather than attempting to flex the metal.

Q: What is it made from?
A: Gold‑tone metal with strass (rhinestone) embellishments and cut‑out BOY lettering with interlocking CC motifs. Chanel refers to these sparkling glass crystals as strass; they deliver diamond‑like sparkle without being precious gemstones.

Q: How should I care for Chanel costume jewellery like this?
A: Keep it dry and avoid contact with perfume, lotions, and hairspray. Put jewellery on last and remove first. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear, and store it separately in a pouch or box to prevent scratches and loss of stones. Avoid impacts, swimming, ultrasonic cleaners and chemical dips.

Q: Will the gold‑tone finish tarnish or fade over time?
A: As with most plated costume jewellery, normal wear, humidity and contact with cosmetics can dull or abrade the finish over time. Careful handling and keeping it dry greatly slows this process. Light surface marks are consistent with gentle use and noted in the condition grading.

Q: How do I clean the rhinestones safely?
A: Gently buff with a clean, lint‑free dry cloth. If needed, barely dampen the cloth with water for the metal areas only and immediately dry; do not soak, scrub, or use chemical cleaners, as moisture and detergents can undermine the foil backing of rhinestones and their settings.

Q: Can Chanel replace a missing rhinestone on costume jewellery?
A: Availability of repairs for fashion (costume) jewellery can vary by boutique and by piece. The usual first step is to have a boutique assess the item; they can advise on options. A Retro Tale can also recommend trusted restoration specialists on request.

Q: How can I authenticate Chanel costume jewellery like this bangle?
A: Most authentic pieces carry a CHANEL signature plaque or stamp and often a season/date code, with typical country marks such as Made in France or Made in Italy. Authenticity is assessed by construction, weight, fonts, screws, settings and overall finishing—marks alone can be counterfeited. Every item we sell is authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks.

Q: What does the “Boy” design reference?
A: The Boy line in Chanel accessories pays homage to Arthur “Boy” Capel—Gabrielle Chanel’s great love—and borrows a more androgynous, graphic aesthetic; this bangle’s BOY cut‑out and bold CC details echo that design language.

Q: What accessories are included with this bracelet?
A: This item is offered without additional accessories. All inclusions are always listed under Accessories on this page; if an item like a box or dust pouch is not listed, it is not included.
