Q: What are the standout details of this Chanel No5 Pearl Necklace?
A: This vintage piece features pale gold-toned hardware with faux pearl and crystal embellishments, along with Chanel house motifs including the CC logo, number 5, star and heart. It fastens with a lobster clasp.

Q: Are the pearls real?
A: No. The listing describes faux pearls, so this is fashion jewellery rather than fine jewellery set with natural or cultured pearls.

Q: What is the necklace length?
A: The necklace perimeter is approximately 60 cm. On most wearers, that reads as a comfortable mid-length style, although the exact drop will vary depending on neck size and personal styling preference.

Q: Is the necklace adjustable?
A: It closes with a lobster clasp, but no extender length is listed in the product information. It is therefore best treated as a fixed-length necklace of approximately 60 cm.

Q: What condition is it in?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition with a light trace of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches consistent with gentle vintage wear.

Q: Does it come with any original box, pouch or authenticity card?
A: No additional items are included with this piece. If a box, pouch or authenticity card is not listed in the product information, it should not be expected.

Q: How should I care for a vintage faux pearl necklace?
A: Put it on after perfume, hairspray and creams have dried, and remove it before showering, swimming, sport or sleep. After wear, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth and store it separately to help protect the faux pearl coating, crystals and hardware.

Q: Can this necklace be layered or dressed up and down?
A: Yes. A 60 cm Chanel pearl necklace works well as a standalone statement or layered with shorter chains. The pearl, crystal and logo details make it easy to style with both simple daywear and dressier evening looks.

Q: How is authenticity checked for vintage Chanel jewellery?
A: Authenticity is assessed through a combination of materials, construction, hardware, hallmarks or plaques where present, and overall consistency with Chanel design details. A Retro Tale specialises in authenticated luxury vintage pieces and carefully vets every item before sale.
