Q: What typically fits inside this Small Wallet On Chain?
A: Given its compact size (approx. 15 × 11 × 3.5 cm), it comfortably carries cards, folded notes, coins, a key fob, lipstick and AirPods or a similarly small item. Compact smartphones up to roughly 14 × 7 cm may fit; larger models (such as most Pro/Max phones) are generally too big. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: How long is the strap and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The interwoven chain strap has an approximate 60 cm drop, designed for shoulder or crossbody wear on most heights. The strap is fixed (non-adjustable and non-detachable), but you can shorten the drop by looping part of the chain inside the bag before closing the flap. Avoid overfilling or using bulky clips that may imprint the leather.

Q: What are the interior and exterior compartments?
A: Inside you’ll find multiple compartments including a zipped pocket and built‑in card slots (typically six), so a separate wallet is not required. This piece also features an external zipped pocket for quick‑access small items. Please see the product information for the full layout shown in the photos.

Q: Does this specific piece close with a snap or magnet?
A: This item has a flap top with snap closure, as stated in the product information. Chanel has produced WOCs with different closures over the years (including magnetic and turn‑lock styles), but this one uses a snap.

Q: Will it fit a passport?
A: A standard passport is approximately 12.5 × 8.8 cm. Due to this model’s smaller height (approx. 11 cm), a passport generally will not fit comfortably in the main compartment without stressing the flap. We recommend slim travel documents instead.

Q: How should I care for the lambskin leather and keep it looking its best?
A: Do not overfill the bag. Keep it away from prolonged sunlight, moisture and colour transfer from dark fabrics. Wipe with a soft cloth only and avoid harsh products. Store upright in its dust bag with the chain tucked and wrapped to prevent imprints. Light surface marks on lambskin may be reduced by gently rubbing in small circular motions.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything that comes with the product is listed in the product information. For this piece, that includes the box, dust bag, authenticity card and serial number tag.

Q: What does the serial number 30985122 indicate?
A: The 30‑series code points to production around 2021, which is the final sticker‑and‑card era before Chanel transitioned to metal microchip plates. Serial numbers indicate a production period rather than an exact date or factory.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide further details on request.
