Q: What typically fits inside the Christian Dior Mini Saddle Bag?
A: The Mini Saddle is a compact silhouette designed for essentials. Expect space for a slim cardholder, keys, lipstick and small earbuds; packing flat items helps maximise capacity. Depending on your phone model and case, some smaller smartphones may fit, while larger Max/Plus sizes are usually too tight. Please compare your phone to the Measurements on this page and the photos of the opening before purchase.

Q: Will my smartphone fit in this specific piece?
A: Fit varies by model and case thickness. Given this item’s particularly compact measurements, many larger smartphones will not fit; some standard-sized phones may fit without a bulky case. The safest approach is to compare your device to the listed Measurements and aperture shown in the images.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder or crossbody strap?
A: This piece is the handle version and is supplied without a strap. The handle drop is approximately 9 cm, ideal for hand or crook-of-arm carry. Everything included is listed under Product information.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: Not by default with this item, as no strap is included. Some Mini Saddle models (by year or release) are sold with a thin detachable strap and can be worn crossbody, but that varies by version. Please review the photos and Product information to assess hardware and any strap compatibility you may have in mind.

Q: How does the bag close and is it secure?
A: The Mini Saddle features the signature Saddle flap with a magnetic ‘D’ stirrup pull, providing quick and secure closure while maintaining the bag’s iconic curved silhouette.

Q: Is grained calfskin a durable choice?
A: Yes. Grained calfskin is generally more resistant to surface scratches and day‑to‑day marks than smooth leather, making it a practical option for frequent use while still feeling luxurious.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Wipe the leather occasionally with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth; avoid excessive moisture, oils and direct heat or sunlight. Store the bag lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag to preserve its shape, and use leather conditioner sparingly only after patch‑testing. Hardware can be gently buffed with a clean, dry cloth to maintain its shine.

Q: Is this item vintage and what is its condition?
A: Yes, this is a vintage Mini Saddle bag made in Italy. It is in Very Good condition overall with light traces of use; the hardware is shiny with light scratches and the interior shows light signs of wear. Please review the detailed photos and notes on this page.

Q: What is included with the purchase?
A: Everything included is listed under Product information on this page. Unless an item is expressly mentioned there (e.g., dust bag, booklet), it is not included with this piece.

Q: How do you authenticate Dior items?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point inspection by our in‑house experts, examining materials, stitching, heat stamps and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece and can share additional details on request.
