Q: Are these Georg Jensen Heritage Hematite Silver Clip‑on Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid silver and is the stone hematite?
A: This vintage pair is crafted in sterling silver (925) with hematite stone embellishment. Georg Jensen is renowned for its sterling silver work; please review the close‑up photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm any specific composition details for this piece.

Q: What are the measurements and how will they sit when worn?
A: They are listed at approximately 2.3 cm (height) x 1.5 cm (width) x 1.0 cm (depth). This size offers a refined presence on the ear without being overly heavy. If you’d like the exact gram weight or a photo on model for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: How comfortable are the clip‑ons and can they be adjusted?
A: Clip‑on earrings rely on spring tension to stay in place. A jeweller can make small tension adjustments for comfort, and soft silicone “comfort” pads can be added to reduce pressure on the lobe. Avoid bending the clips repeatedly at home to prevent metal fatigue—if you’d like us to check the current tension, let us know.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears—are they nickel‑free?
A: Sterling silver is typically 92.5% silver with the remainder most often copper, so it is generally nickel‑free. Alloy recipes can vary on vintage pieces, however. If you have sensitivities, monitor comfort and discontinue wear if irritation occurs; we’re happy to advise further.

Q: How should I care for sterling silver and hematite?
A: Keep the earrings dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and cleaning chemicals. After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and store individually to prevent scratches. Avoid chemical dips, steam or ultrasonic cleaners due to the hematite—gentle hand‑cleaning is recommended.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Georg Jensen earrings?
A: Vintage Georg Jensen silver commonly bears the GEORG JENSEN oval cartouche, “925 S” (sterling), “DENMARK,” and sometimes a designer or year mark. Hallmark styles vary by era; our listing photos show any stamps present on this pair and we can help interpret them on request.

Q: Can the clip‑ons be converted to posts for pierced ears?
A: A competent jeweller can often convert clip‑ons to posts or other fittings, subject to the design. Any modification may affect originality and resale value. We don’t offer in‑house alterations but can suggest reputable specialists if needed.

Q: Are these from the Heritage line that reissues archival designs? Can you estimate the year?
A: The Heritage range reinterprets early Georg Jensen motifs, and many pairs were issued as annual designs. Hallmarks can help approximate production period; share a close‑up of any stamps and we’ll assist with dating where possible. Country of origin is Denmark for this pair.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: These earrings are in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. This listing includes no accessories unless specifically shown or stated. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
