Q: What typically fits inside the Mini Pochette?
A: It comfortably holds small daily essentials such as a cardholder, keys, lip balm, compact mirror, hand sanitiser, and wireless earbuds. Capacity varies with how you pack; most larger smartphones do not fit. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact size guidance.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody or as a wristlet?
A: It is designed as a compact pouch with a short chain (approx. 14 cm drop). The length is not suitable for crossbody wear. You can unclip one end to use it as a wristlet or attach it inside a larger bag for organisation.

Q: Is the chain fully removable?
A: The chain is fixed on one side and has a clasp on the other. You can detach one end, but the chain is not intended to be fully removed.

Q: What are the official dimensions and materials?
A: Manufacturer specifications are approximately 15.5 × 10.5 × 4 cm. This piece is crafted in Damier Ebene coated canvas with red textile lining and gold-tone hardware. Please check the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions of this item.

Q: Does it fit an iPhone?
A: Most current iPhone models (and similar large phones) do not fit. Compact phones or smaller devices may fit depending on cases and thickness. We recommend comparing your device to the Measurements listed here.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ebene coated canvas?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid solvents, alcohol, or harsh cleaners. Keep away from prolonged sunlight and humidity. Store loosely stuffed in its dust bag to maintain shape. Hardware can show light scratches with normal use—avoid contact with perfumes or lotions to minimise tarnish.

Q: Will the leather darken or develop a patina?
A: Damier Ebene uses colour-treated leather trims that are more resistant to watermarks and patina than natural vachetta. Over time, normal wear may still show minor creasing or edge rubbing.

Q: What does the date code FL0076 indicate?
A: FL denotes a French workshop, and the digits correspond to the production date under Louis Vuitton’s former date-code system (many newer items use microchips from 2021 onwards). Our experts have verified that FL0076 is consistent with the era and make of this piece.

Q: What items are included with this piece?
A: Included items are listed under product information. For this example, a dust bag is included as stated. If an item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this Mini Pochette?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our specialists using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes where applicable. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional details on request.
