Q: What size are these earrings?
A: These earrings measure approximately 2 cm in height, 1.8 cm in width and 0.2 cm in depth. That makes them a compact yet noticeable heart-shaped pair with a clear Louis Vuitton signature look.

Q: Are they for pierced ears, and how do they fasten?
A: Yes, they are designed for pierced ears and feature a push-back fastening. As with any pre-owned earrings, it is a good idea to check that both backs feel secure before wearing them out.

Q: What are they made from?
A: This pair is listed as metal with gold-tone hardware. Louis Vuitton states that its fashion jewellery is generally made from brass with a gold- or silver-coloured finish, but the exact base-metal composition for this specific pre-owned pair is not stated on this page.

Q: What condition are these earrings in?
A: They are listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, so you should expect gentle signs of prior wear on close inspection.

Q: Will the gold-tone finish scratch or tarnish over time?
A: Like most fashion jewellery with a plated or coated finish, it can develop scratches, oxidation or surface wear over time. To help preserve the finish, keep the earrings away from water, perfume, lotions, hand sanitiser and humidity, and store them dry after use.

Q: Are these earrings suitable for sensitive ears?
A: The exact metal composition is not specified for this pair, so they cannot be guaranteed hypoallergenic. If you are sensitive to plated metals or prone to nickel reactions, it is best to wear with caution.

Q: Can I wear them every day?
A: You can wear them regularly, but they will last best with careful use. For longest life, avoid wearing them in the shower, while exercising or while sleeping, as repeated exposure to moisture and friction can affect the finish over time.

Q: What is included with the earrings?
A: This listing states that no original box, pouch or other extras are included with the pair.

Q: How do you authenticate these earrings?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is authenticated by in-house experts. The company also offers an optional third-party digital authenticity certificate if you would like additional documentation.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton repair jewellery like this?
A: Louis Vuitton’s online repair service does not currently accept jewellery. If you ever need specialist care advice, boutique or client services support is usually the best next step.
