Q: What typically fits inside the Cabas Piano?
A: With approximate measurements of 24 × 33 × 12 cm and a strap drop around 22 cm, it comfortably carries a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch, a compact umbrella and a 500 ml bottle. Small tablets up to about 9.7 inches may fit; larger tablets and laptops do not. For exact capacity, please refer to the Measurements on this page.

Q: Does it fit A4 documents or a laptop?
A: Loose A4 papers can fit when placed horizontally; however, a rigid A4 folder or binder may be tight at the zip opening and may prevent full closure. A 13-inch laptop will not fit.

Q: Is the Cabas Piano still in production?
A: The original Cabas line (Piano, Mezzo, Alto) was discontinued, so this is a vintage piece. Louis Vuitton later introduced a modern Piano bag that is a reinterpretation of the name and design rather than the same vintage Cabas model.

Q: Is it designed for shoulder carry and will it fit over a coat?
A: Yes. The dual flat straps have a drop of approximately 22–24 cm, so it sits on the shoulder comfortably; over very thick outerwear it may feel snug.

Q: Can I attach a crossbody strap to this bag?
A: The Cabas Piano was not designed with exterior strap rings for crossbody wear. It includes an interior D-ring for keys or a pouch, but no side D-rings for an added strap.

Q: What are the interior features and closure?
A: It has a secure zip top with one interior zip pocket and one slip pocket, plus an interior D-ring for small items.

Q: How should I care for the monogram canvas and Vachetta leather?
A: Coated canvas can be wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soapy water; avoid harsh chemicals or home remedies. The natural Vachetta leather will develop a patina and is sensitive to water and oils—keep it dry, avoid prolonged sunlight/heat, and store the bag loosely stuffed in a cool, ventilated place.

Q: What does the date code DU0092 mean?
A: DU indicates manufacture in France. For codes from 1990–2006, the first and third digits show the month and the second and fourth show the year; DU0092 corresponds to September 2002. Date codes are not unique serial numbers and are only one element considered during authentication.

Q: What is included with this item?
