Q: What makes the Rolex Datejust ref. 16013 distinctive?
A: Ref. 16013 is the classic two-tone 36 mm Datejust, typically combining stainless steel and yellow gold with a fluted bezel, date display and Jubilee bracelet. This particular watch is listed as a circa 1983 example with a champagne dial and baton hour markers.

Q: What size is this watch, and how will it wear?
A: The case measures 36 mm, which is the traditional Datejust size and remains very versatile on the wrist. According to this listing, the bracelet fits a wrist up to 19 cm, so that is the best guide for overall fit.

Q: Does the Datejust 16013 have a quick-set date?
A: Yes. The ref. 16013 is generally associated with Rolex calibre 3035, which is known for its quick-set date function. That means the date can usually be adjusted independently rather than by cycling the hands through full 24-hour turns.

Q: Is the crystal acrylic or sapphire?
A: Vintage ref. 16013 watches from this era are typically fitted with an acrylic crystal with the Cyclops date magnifier. Acrylic gives a warm vintage look and can often be polished if lightly marked, but it is usually more prone to surface scratches than sapphire.

Q: Can this watch be worn every day?
A: Many collectors wear a Datejust 16013 daily thanks to its automatic movement and robust Oyster case. As this is a vintage watch from around 1983, we still recommend sensible day-to-day wear and avoiding swimming, showering or steam unless the watch has been recently pressure-tested.

Q: What should I know about the Jubilee bracelet on a vintage Datejust?
A: Jubilee bracelets are prized for comfort and classic Datejust styling, but older examples can develop looseness or stretch over time. This watch is described as shiny with light scratches and is sized for a wrist up to 19 cm, so it is worth reviewing the bracelet photos closely if bracelet condition is especially important to you.

Q: How do I wind and set the watch?
A: Unscrew the crown, wind it clockwise to start the movement, then use the first pulled position for the date and the outer position for the time. Once you have finished, make sure the crown is screwed back down properly.

Q: What product information is included with this watch?
A: This piece is listed with no product information included. If box, papers, spare links or service documents are not specifically mentioned on the product page, they should not be assumed to be part of the sale.

Q: Is there any recent service history provided?
A: No service history is stated in the listing. With a vintage mechanical watch, that usually means it is best to treat service history as unconfirmed unless additional documentation is provided separately.
