Q: What is the size and how does it wear on the wrist?
A: This Lady‑Oyster Perpetual has a 25 mm case, which wears elegantly and is well suited to petite and medium wrists. As currently sized, the Oyster bracelet fits up to approximately 17 cm in wrist circumference (see Measurements). Links can usually be added or removed by a qualified watchmaker for a tailored fit.

Q: What movement is inside this reference?
A: The Lady‑Oyster Perpetual ref. 76080 typically houses Rolex’s self‑winding calibre 2230. It is a time‑only automatic movement known for reliability and a power reserve of around two days. There is no date display on this model, so setting is straightforward.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I swim with it?
A: Oyster Perpetual models are factory rated to 100 metres when new. As this is a 2005 pre‑owned watch, water resistance is not guaranteed without fresh testing. We recommend a pressure test and gasket check before any exposure to water, and always ensure the screw‑down crown is fully secured. Avoid saunas, hot tubs and sudden temperature changes, which can stress seals.

Q: How do I wind and set the watch if it has stopped?
A: Unscrew the crown to the winding position and turn it clockwise at least 25 full turns to start the movement, then pull the crown to the next position to set the time. When finished, press in and screw the crown down to restore the seal. For best practice, wind and set the watch off the wrist to avoid bending the stem.

Q: What is included in the product information for this piece?
A: As listed on this page, the set includes the original inner box, outer box and booklets, and it comes with original papers. Everything included is detailed under product information; if an item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Can the bracelet be adjusted or extra links supplied?
A: Yes. The Oyster bracelet can be sized by adding or removing links. A professional watchmaker or jeweller can adjust it quickly; additional genuine links may be sourced on request, subject to availability.

Q: Has the watch been serviced and how often is servicing recommended?
A: The service history is not specified in this listing. Rolex advises servicing approximately every 10 years depending on usage, with older or frequently worn pieces sometimes benefiting from attention sooner (around 5–7 years). If the last service date is unknown, a preventive service and water‑resistance test are sensible before regular wear.

Q: What is the condition of this watch?
A: It is graded Very Good. There are scratches on the bracelet and clasp, and light scratches on the case and case back consistent with careful wear. Please review the photos for a close look at the current condition.

Q: Is the serial number available?
A: For privacy and security, serial numbers are not displayed in listing photos. We can share the serial number with serious buyers upon request and record it on the purchase documentation.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this watch?
A: Every watch is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of case, dial, movement, engravings, bracelet and clasp components, and period‑correct details. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional product information on request.
