Q: What is this necklace made of? Is it solid gold? A: This is vintage Christian Dior costume jewellery in a gold‑tone plated finish over base metal, not solid gold. Dior’s fine jewellery (Joaillerie) uses precious metals, while fashion pieces like this are typically gold‑plated. If a piece were solid gold it would carry a precious‑metal fineness hallmark (e.g., 750 for 18 ct).
Q: What are the measurements and how will it sit when worn? A: The chain measures approximately 44 cm end to end (about 17.3 inches), fastening with a lobster clasp. The heart‑and‑arrow pendant is about 30 × 20 × 2 mm, so it sits neatly at the collarbone and layers easily with longer chains.
Q: Is the chain length adjustable? A: It closes with a lobster clasp and is not supplied with an extender. If you prefer extra length, you can add a small gold‑tone extender to the clasp without altering the original piece.
