Q: What is the length and how does it sit when worn?
A: The necklace measures approximately 80 cm in perimeter, giving a long, elegant drop. Depending on your neckline, you can also clip the hook to an inner link to wear it slightly shorter. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size.

Q: What is this vintage Céline necklace made from?
A: Céline fashion jewellery is typically crafted from a brass base with a gold-tone finish. This piece features a textured chain and a hook closure, consistent with vintage costume jewellery from the house.

Q: Is the length adjustable?
A: Yes, the hook closure usually allows you to fasten into different chain links to shorten the drop a little. For more versatility, you can use a removable necklace shortener or extender; no permanent alteration is required.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower or while swimming?
A: We do not recommend it. Water, soaps, perfume, chlorine and salt can accelerate wear to gold-tone finishes. Remove the necklace before showering, exercising, swimming or applying lotions and fragrance to preserve the plating and shine.

Q: How should I care for and clean it?
A: Wipe gently after wear with a soft, dry cloth, avoid chemicals and moisture, and store it separately in a cool, dry place. For occasional deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water with a tiny amount of mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cloths and commercial dips formulated for solid precious metals.

Q: Are there Céline hallmarks on vintage pieces?
A: Many vintage Céline necklaces carry an engraved CELINE or CELINE PARIS signature on a clasp or small tag. Placement and style vary by era and design, so please review the close-up images of this piece for the specific hallmark details.

Q: Is it hypoallergenic?
A: As a vintage fashion jewellery piece, the exact metal composition and nickel content may not be documented. If you have known metal sensitivities, consider limiting prolonged skin contact or consult a jeweller about a clear barrier product.

Q: What does the condition grade mean for this item?
A: It is in Very Good condition with light traces of use; the hardware is shiny with light surface scratches consistent with careful wear. Please review all photos for an accurate view of its state.

Q: What is included with my purchase?
A: Everything that comes with the necklace is listed under the product information section on this page. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Can a jeweller replate the chain in future if needed?
A: Yes, professional jewellers can generally replate brass costume jewellery to refresh the gold tone. Results vary by workshop and may slightly change the original patina, so discuss expectations with your chosen specialist.
