Q: Are these suitable for non‑pierced ears?
A: Yes. They feature a clip‑on fastening designed for non‑pierced ears and can also be worn by those with pierced ears who prefer clip‑ons. The clips provide a secure hold when correctly adjusted.

Q: Are clip‑on earrings comfortable for all‑day wear?
A: Comfort depends on fit and clip tension. Clip‑ons rely on gentle pressure; if they feel tight, take breaks, add soft silicone/cushion pads, and adjust the tension slightly. Well‑fitted clip‑ons can be worn comfortably for extended periods, but sensitivity varies by person.

Q: Can I adjust the clip tension myself?
A: Many clip‑ons with hinge or paddle‑back mechanisms allow minor adjustment. For paddle backs with a small screw, a quarter‑turn can loosen or tighten the grip; hinge styles can sometimes be eased very gently by bending the tension bar a fraction. Make only tiny adjustments to avoid weakening the mechanism—if unsure, ask a professional jeweller.

Q: Will they pinch or slip?
A: If pinching occurs, reduce tension slightly and add clear pads to spread pressure across the lobe. To prevent slipping, position the clip centrally on the lobe and ensure no hair sits between the clip and skin. Very active movement can cause any clip‑on to shift; consider using lobe support patches for extra hold.

Q: How large are these on the ear?
A: Each earring measures approximately 2.2 cm in height and 1.6 cm in width. They are a medium size with an interlocking double‑circle front and an engraved logo, offering a refined, vintage statement without being oversized.

Q: What are they made from—are they solid gold?
A: They are described as gold‑tone metal. This indicates a gold‑coloured finish rather than solid gold. Exact metal composition isn’t specified; please refer to the product information on this page for all available details.

Q: How should I care for gold‑tone vintage jewellery?
A: Put on last and take off first; avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions, and household cleaners; wipe after wear with a soft, dry cloth; and store separately in a cool, dry place to minimise surface wear. Avoid abrasive polishes or ultrasonic cleaners, which can damage plated finishes and glued components.

Q: Are these nickel‑free/hypoallergenic?
A: The exact alloy isn’t specified, so we cannot guarantee they are nickel‑free. Many vintage costume pieces may contain base metals including nickel. If you have sensitive skin, consider using protective barrier pads on the clips, limit wear time at first, and consult your dermatologist if you have known allergies.

Q: Can a jeweller convert these to pierced posts?
A: Some jewellers can convert clip‑ons to posts, but this permanently alters the piece and may affect collectability and resale value. Any modification should be done by a professional and is at the buyer’s discretion.

Q: What is included with my purchase?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. For this pair, no extra items are listed, so the earrings are sold as shown.
