Q: Are these earrings for pierced ears?
A: No. This pair has a clip-on closure, so it is designed to sit on the earlobe without requiring pierced ears.

Q: What size are these earrings?
A: They measure approximately 2 cm in height, 2 cm in width and 0.5 cm in depth. That gives them a noticeable Chanel look while still being a relatively compact statement pair.

Q: Are these solid gold?
A: No. This pair is vintage costume jewellery rather than fine jewellery. The product information describes gold-tone metal with rhinestone detailing.

Q: What design details do these earrings feature?
A: They feature a heart motif with quilted detailing, an interlocking CC logo with rhinestones, and a gold-tone finish. These elements give them a recognisable vintage Chanel look.

Q: Are clip-on earrings comfortable to wear?
A: Comfort can vary from person to person, especially with vintage clip-ons. Many people find them easy to wear for several hours, but if you are sensitive to pressure, silicone comfort pads and short breaks can help make them feel more comfortable.

Q: What condition are these earrings in?
A: They are listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful previous use and the character of vintage jewellery.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel rhinestone earrings?
A: Apply perfume, hairspray and makeup before putting them on, and keep them away from water, soap, humidity and cleaning chemicals. After wear, wipe them gently with a soft dry cloth and store them separately to help minimise scratches and preserve the finish.

Q: Can the clip tension be adjusted or converted for pierced ears?
A: Any adjustment should only be done by a professional jeweller, as vintage hardware can be delicate. Conversion may be possible in some cases, but it can alter the original construction and may affect collectability.

Q: Do these earrings come with a box, pouch or authenticity card?
A: No accompanying items are included with this pair. If anything is included with a product, it will always be clearly stated in the product information.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Chanel jewellery?
A: At A Retro Tale, items are checked by in-house experts using details such as construction, materials, finish, hallmarks, hardware and overall consistency with authentic Chanel vintage pieces.
