Q: Is this Christian Dior Petit CD Rhinestone Necklace authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What is it made from? Is it solid gold and are the stones real diamonds or pearls?
A: Dior fashion jewellery is typically crafted from gold‑tone plated base metal with glass crystals and resin pearls. It is not solid gold unless explicitly stated, and the stones are not diamonds. This piece features gold‑tone metal with white crystal detailing and a white resin pearl. Please review the photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm any specifics.

Q: What is the chain length and is it adjustable? Will it fit me?
A: The listed perimeter is approximately 43 cm and the chain is adjustable with a lobster clasp. If you’d like the precise wearable range (minimum–maximum settings) or drop measurement, message us and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: How does it fasten?
A: It secures with a lobster clasp and adjustable chain links for a tailored fit.

Q: What are the pendant/charm dimensions and weight?
A: The decorative element is approximately 1 cm (height) x 1.5 cm (width). If you need the exact depth and gram weight for comfort reference, just ask and we’ll confirm.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on a Dior Petit CD necklace?
A: Dior fashion necklaces commonly feature the ‘CD’ logo and/or ‘DIOR’ signature, sometimes with a country of origin. Placement varies by collection. Our close‑up photos show any stamps present on this piece.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is it nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using a clear barrier product on contact points or limiting wear time. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone plating, crystals and resin pearl?
A: Keep it dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; use a dry cotton bud around stone settings. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. Store individually in a pouch or box, away from humidity and direct sunlight, to preserve colour and sparkle.

Q: Can it be resized, repaired or replated?
A: A competent jeweller can often add a short extender, adjust the clasp, re‑set crystals or perform light replating. Dior boutique service for fashion jewellery may vary and isn’t guaranteed. Modifications can affect originality and resale value; we don’t offer in‑house alterations but can recommend reputable specialists on request.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This necklace is in Excellent Condition unless stated otherwise. Included accessories are the dust bag and box as listed. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
