Q: What are the measurements and how can it be carried?
A: This bag measures approximately 29 × 21 × 13 cm with a 16 cm top‑handle drop and an adjustable shoulder strap up to about 47 cm. It can be carried by hand, in the crook of the arm, on the shoulder, or worn high crossbody depending on your height and preference.

Q: What typically fits inside this Runaway bag?
A: It comfortably holds daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, a small cosmetics pouch, sunglasses case, and an A5 diary/notebook. An iPad mini fits easily; most 10–11 inch tablets fit horizontally without a bulky case. It is not designed for a 13 inch laptop.

Q: Is this the Medium size?
A: We list this piece as Medium. Naming conventions for the Runaway can vary by season and retailer; similar dimensions are sometimes described as Small elsewhere. To avoid confusion, please rely on our exact measurements above when assessing size and capacity.

Q: How secure is the closure and what pockets does it have?
A: The main compartment closes with a magnetic snap. There is one external zipped pocket for quick‑access items and a suede‑lined interior with three pockets (including a zip pocket) to organise smaller essentials.

Q: What materials and hardware does it feature?
A: The exterior is black calfskin leather with a brown suede lining. Hardware is mixed gold‑ and silver‑tone, a distinctive Runaway detail, with a polished finish that may show light hairline scratches with normal use.

Q: Is the shoulder strap detachable and adjustable?
A: Yes. The included shoulder strap is both detachable and adjustable (drop up to about 47 cm), making it ideal for shoulder carry; crossbody wear will sit higher on most frames.

Q: How structured is the bag—will it keep its shape?
A: The Runaway has a structured trapezoid silhouette designed to hold its shape in daily use. Avoid overfilling and store it gently stuffed to help maintain its lines.

Q: How should I care for the leather and suede lining?
A: Wipe the calfskin with a soft, dry cloth; condition sparingly with a quality leather conditioner and avoid moisture, oils, and prolonged sunlight. For the suede lining, use a clean suede brush to lift dust and avoid contact with liquids or cosmetics. Store in its dust bag, lightly filled, in a cool, dry place.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. For this piece, that includes a dust bag and a detachable shoulder strap.

Q: Where was it made and how is authenticity ensured?
A: This item is labelled Made in Italy. Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, stamps, and hardware; we stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What should I know about the condition and scent?
A: It is in very good overall condition with visible scuffing on the corners and light scratches on the hardware. A faint vintage scent may be present due to age; airing the bag in a cool, dry place will usually help it dissipate over time.
