Q: What typically fits inside this Large Canapa Saffiano Cuir Double Tote?
A: With an approximate width of 36 cm and height of 25 cm, it comfortably holds A4 documents, a tablet, water bottle, long wallet, and daily essentials. Many owners also use the Large Double style for a 13-inch laptop; a slim 14-inch may fit without a padded sleeve depending on the model and how you pack. Please refer to the Measurements on this page and your device’s dimensions to be sure.

Q: Is it suitable for work and commuting?
A: Yes. The structured silhouette helps it keep shape, and the central flap compartment creates two main sections for easy organisation of paperwork and tech. The dual top handles make it smart for handheld carry, and the detachable strap gives a hands-free option when travelling between meetings.

Q: How is the interior laid out?
A: This vintage piece features a brown leather-lined interior divided by a central flap compartment. The open sections are ideal for documents and a laptop sleeve, while smaller items can be placed in pouches for easy access.

Q: What materials is it made from, and how do they wear?
A: The body is beige Canapa canvas trimmed with tan Saffiano leather and gold-toned hardware. Saffiano is known for its cross-hatched, scratch-resistant finish and structured hold, while Canapa canvas offers a sturdy yet lighter-weight body. As with all luxury materials, avoid abrasion and colour transfer from dark denim or untreated fabrics.

Q: How should I care for the canvas and Saffiano leather?
A: Wipe surfaces gently with a clean, dry, soft cloth after use. Keep away from moisture, oils, and solvents; avoid overfilling; and store stuffed in a breathable dust bag in a cool, ventilated place away from direct heat or sunlight. For deeper cleaning, especially on corners and handles, we recommend a professional handbag care service familiar with Saffiano leather and canvas.

Q: Is it rainproof?
A: The Saffiano leather is relatively resilient, but the bag is not waterproof. Light splashes can be blotted dry immediately; prolonged exposure to rain can mark leather and canvas. In wet weather, use a protective cover and allow the bag to air dry naturally if it gets damp—never use direct heat.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a luggage tag and a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap. If an item such as a dust bag, padlock, or authenticity card is not listed in the Accessories section, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this Prada bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi-point authentication review (materials, stitching, stamps, hardware engravings and construction). Prada handbags commonly feature an interior brand plaque, consistent ‘PRADA Made in Italy’ markings, and a small white factory tag inside a pocket; some newer models incorporate an NFC tag, whereas many vintage pieces do not. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional details on request.

Q: What should I know about this bag’s condition?
A: It is graded in Good condition with visible scuffing on the leather corners, light scratches to the hardware, and scratches inside the bag. These signs are consistent with gentle vintage wear and are reflected in the price and photography. Proper care and occasional professional touch-ups can further preserve its appearance.
