Q: What does MM mean on the Louis Vuitton Parioli MM?
A: MM stands for Moyen Modèle, which is Louis Vuitton’s medium size. In practice, this version is a roomy structured tote measuring approximately 42 x 32 x 13 cm.

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Parioli MM Tote Bag?
A: It comfortably suits everyday essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetic pouch, A4 papers, a notebook or tablet, and a small water bottle. Because the bag has a structured shape and magnetic top, it is best for organised daily carry rather than over-packing.

Q: Can this bag be worn comfortably on the shoulder?
A: Yes. It has dual flat shoulder straps and an approximate strap drop of 30 cm, so it is designed for shoulder carry. As with many structured vintage totes, comfort can vary slightly depending on what you carry and how bulky your clothing is.

Q: Does the Parioli MM have a zip closure?
A: No. This model closes with a magnetic top rather than a zip. That makes it easy to access your belongings quickly, but it is worth noting if you prefer a fully enclosed tote.

Q: Is the Parioli MM a vintage or discontinued Louis Vuitton model?
A: Yes. The Parioli is a discontinued Louis Vuitton style, which adds to its appeal for shoppers who enjoy less commonly seen vintage Damier Ebene totes.

Q: What does the date code AR0979 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton used date codes rather than unique serial numbers on vintage bags. AR indicates production in France, and the code 0979 corresponds to July 1999.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This item is listed in very good overall condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: A dust bag is included. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ebene canvas and leather trim?
A: Avoid over-packing the bag, store it in its dust bag in a ventilated area, and keep it away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight. For light surface marks, use a soft damp cloth and avoid solvents, oils, or household leather cleaners.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in-house experts using checks such as materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of the items we sell.
