Q: What are the measurements and how roomy is the Neverfull MM?
A: This piece measures approximately 32 × 28.5 × 17 cm. It comfortably holds everyday work essentials such as an A4 notebook or tablet, a 13-inch laptop in a slim sleeve, a water bottle, wallet, and small pouches. Capacity varies with how you pack; for exact fit, please compare your items with the Measurements listed here.

Q: Will a 13-inch laptop fit inside?
A: Yes, the Neverfull MM typically fits a 13-inch laptop or similar-size device. For protection and to preserve the lining, we suggest using a slim padded sleeve and placing the laptop vertically along the back wall of the bag.

Q: Is it comfortable to carry on the shoulder?
A: The Neverfull MM has slim double shoulder straps; on this item the strap drop is approximately 22 cm, which sits comfortably on most shoulders over light layers. As with any tote, avoid overloading to keep the straps and trim in good condition.

Q: Does this listing include the removable pouch?
A: Many newer Neverfull bags come with a removable zip pouch; however, this specific listing does not include one. Everything that comes with the bag is listed under the product information on this page.

Q: What does the date code AR1059 mean?
A: AR indicates manufacture in France. With the four-digit format used from the late 2000s, the first and third digits show the week and the second and fourth show the year. So AR1059 corresponds to week 15 of 2009 in France. Note that Louis Vuitton replaced physical date codes with internal microchips from 2021 onward; this bag predates that change.

Q: What material is Damier Ebene, and is it water-resistant?
A: Damier Ebene is Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas with dark brown leather trim. The canvas is durable and water-resistant for light splashes, but it isn’t fully waterproof and the leather should be kept dry. Clean the canvas with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soap; avoid alcohol-based products, harsh cleaners, and oils. Store away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: How do the side laces work, and do they affect capacity?
A: The side laces allow you to cinch the top edges for a neater, more compact silhouette or loosen them to maximise opening and capacity. Cinching reduces the top width but doesn’t change the base footprint. Tighten and release gently to avoid stressing the leather and hardware.

Q: What is the interior like on this piece?
A: This item features a red striped textile lining with one zipped pocket. Use the interior zip pocket for valuables and the top clasp to keep the main compartment lightly secured when on the move.

Q: Is the Neverfull MM suitable for travel and commuting?
A: Yes. Its size works well for daily commuting and is generally acceptable as a personal item or carry-on with many airlines, though rules vary. For better organisation and to support the bag’s shape, consider a lightweight bag organiser (not included).

Q: How do you authenticate this bag and how is its condition?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes. This piece is in Very Good condition with signs of wear on the leather trim and handles, minor corner scuffs, a clean interior with light use, and shiny hardware with light scratches. Everything included is detailed in the product information.
