Q: What size is the Louis Vuitton Epi Sac D'epaule GM Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 35 cm in height, 30 cm in width, and 14 cm in depth. The shoulder strap measures 36 cm and is adjustable, giving it a roomy everyday shoulder-bag silhouette.

Q: What does GM mean on this Louis Vuitton bag?
A: GM stands for Grand Modèle, which indicates the larger size in the Sac D'epaule line. It is designed as a more spacious version, ideal for daily essentials and a few extra items.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: Its generous size is suitable for everyday carry, including a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, small cosmetics pouch, notebook, and other daily essentials. Depending on what you carry, it may also suit a small tablet or other slim items, but we recommend checking the measurements on this page for the best guide to fit.

Q: Does this bag come with anything included?
A: Yes, this item includes a pouch. Please refer to the product information for what is included with this specific piece.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable?
A: Yes, the strap is adjustable, which helps you customise the drop for a comfortable shoulder carry.

Q: What is Epi leather and is it durable?
A: Epi leather is Louis Vuitton’s signature grained leather with a textured finish. It is known for its structured look and strong resistance to everyday wear compared with many smoother leathers, which makes it a popular choice for vintage daily-use bags.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and avoid harsh cleaners, oils, alcohol-based products, and prolonged direct sunlight. Store it in a cool, dry place and avoid overfilling to help maintain its shape over time.

Q: What does the code VI0975 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton vintage bags from this era use a date code rather than a unique serial number. The code VI0975 indicates production in France in July 1995.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This piece is listed in Very Good condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: Is this an authentic Louis Vuitton item?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage pieces, and this bag has been catalogued as a genuine Louis Vuitton item. For this specific piece, the listed production code is VI0975 and the country of origin is France.
