Q: What is this necklace made from?
A: It is crafted in solid sterling silver (925). Tiffany sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver alloyed with other metals for strength and is marked with appropriate purity and maker hallmarks.

Q: What is the chain length and how will it sit on the neck?
A: The chain is approximately 41 cm (about 16 in), a classic choker length that typically sits at or just above the collarbone for most wearers. Fit can vary by neck size and layering.

Q: Does the heart lock open or come with a key?
A: This is a heart lock motif pendant intended to be worn as a fixed charm. It is sold without a key. If a functional mechanism or key were present, it would be specified in the Accessories section.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish and how should I care for it?
A: Yes—tarnish is a natural reaction on sterling silver. Clean gently with a quality silver polishing cloth or a small amount of silver jewellery cleaner, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Store it clean and dry in its box or a soft pouch, and avoid chlorine, bleach, hairspray, perfumes and lotions to minimise tarnish.

Q: Is Tiffany sterling silver suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Sterling silver is typically 92.5% silver with the balance most often copper, and is generally nickel‑free, making it a good option for many with nickel sensitivity. Individual reactions can vary; discontinue wear if irritation occurs.

Q: What clasp does it have and is the length adjustable?
A: It features a spring ring clasp. The original chain is a fixed length; if you need more length, a sterling‑silver extender or a replacement chain can be fitted by a jeweller.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a Tiffany box. All included accessories are listed on this page; if an item is not listed, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this Tiffany piece?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, hallmarks, engravings and craftsmanship. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional images or details on request.

Q: Is this suitable for everyday wear, including in the shower or pool?
A: It’s well‑suited to daily wear, but we recommend removing it before showering, swimming or exercising. Water, chlorine and sweat can accelerate tarnish and reduce shine over time.
