Q: What size are these Return to Tiffany heart studs?
A: They measure approximately 11 × 10 × 2 mm, a petite “mini” scale designed to sit neatly on the lobe for everyday wear.

Q: What are they made of—are they plated or solid?
A: They are crafted in sterling silver (.925) from Tiffany & Co., not silver‑plated. Tiffany pieces are typically hallmarked with the brand name and a metal purity mark such as 925.

Q: Are these suitable for sensitive ears?
A: Many people comfortably wear sterling silver, but sensitivities vary. If you know you react to certain alloys, consider short initial wear to test comfort, or opt for higher karat gold or platinum. When in doubt, seek personalised advice from a jeweller or clinician.

Q: Can I shower or swim while wearing them?
A: Tiffany advises removing jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming (pools, hot tubs, hot springs, the ocean) and before applying lotions, fragrances or hair products to help preserve shine and reduce tarnish.

Q: How should I clean and store sterling silver earrings?
A: Clean with a mild soap solution and a soft brush or cloth, rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly. Polish with a non‑abrasive silver cloth. Store completely dry in a tarnish‑resistant pouch or box, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Q: Do these earrings tarnish over time?
A: Sterling silver can develop tarnish with exposure to air, humidity and chemicals. Regular wear, gentle cleaning and proper dry storage help maintain brightness. Professional cleaning and polishing services are also available.

Q: Are these for pierced ears and do backs come with them?
A: Yes—these are post‑back studs for pierced ears. If earring backs are included, they will be listed clearly under the product information on this page. Replacement backs can be sourced through Tiffany client care if needed.

Q: What is included with this listing?
A: Everything that comes with the item is listed under the product information. If a Tiffany pouch, box or other extras are not mentioned there, they are not included with this piece.

Q: What does “Very Good” condition mean here?
A: It indicates light signs of wear consistent with careful use—such as minor surface marks—while remaining shiny and well‑kept. Please review the photos and condition notes for full details.

Q: Can light scratches be polished out?
A: Fine surface scratches on high‑polish silver can often be reduced with a professional polish. Tiffany boutiques and qualified jewellers offer cleaning and polishing services for this purpose.

Q: How do you authenticate this piece?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, engraving, hallmarks and overall craftsmanship. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share further details on request.
