Q: What are the measurements and strap drop of this bag?
A: Approx. 30 cm height × 26 cm width × 17 cm depth with a single adjustable shoulder strap of about 30 cm drop. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for precise figures.

Q: What typically fits inside the Cluny PM bucket style?
A: It comfortably carries daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, A5 notebook, small cosmetics pouch, a 500 ml water bottle, and a small tablet up to around 8 inches. Capacity depends on how you organise items—check the Measurements to be sure.

Q: Is the strap long enough for crossbody wear?
A: The vintage Cluny is designed primarily for shoulder carry. With a drop of about 30 cm, it is usually too short for a true crossbody fit for most people.

Q: How does the bag close and how secure is it?
A: The Epi Cluny features a front turn/twist‑lock closure under a flap, providing a secure closure for daily use without a top zip.

Q: What is Epi leather and how should I care for it?
A: Epi is a textured, durable, dyed‑through leather known for its scratch and light‑moisture resistance. Wipe with a soft slightly damp cloth, avoid harsh chemicals and oils, keep away from prolonged sunlight/heat, and store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag. For stubborn marks, consult a leather care professional.

Q: How do I care for the Alcantara lining?
A: Gently vacuum or use a soft brush/lint roller to remove dust. For routine cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp white cloth, avoid saturation, allow to air dry, then lightly brush to revive the nap. For stains, follow gentle spot‑clean methods or seek a professional cleaner.

Q: Where is the date code typically located, and how do I read a 1990s code?
A: On many Epi Cluny bags, the code is stamped on a small leather tab near the interior D‑ring or on the Alcantara near the pocket. For 1990–2006, two letters indicate the factory and four digits encode month and year (first and third = month; second and fourth = year). For example, VI0955 corresponds to May 1995.

Q: What does PM mean for this model?
A: PM stands for petit modèle, Louis Vuitton’s small/medium size category within a style family, sitting below MM and GM in capacity.
