Q: What are these earrings made from?
A: Louis Vuitton fashion jewellery is typically crafted from brass with a gold- or silver-tone finish. This pair is yellow gold tone. Some designs from the Inclusion line may also incorporate clear or coloured resin with embedded monogram motifs. As a vintage fashion jewellery piece, these are not solid gold.

Q: Are they for pierced ears and how do they fasten?
A: Yes. They are designed for pierced ears and feature a secure push-back (friction) closure.

Q: What size are they and how do they sit on the ear?
A: The earrings measure approximately 28 mm in height, 2 mm in hoop width and 12 mm in depth, offering a refined medium-profile hoop with dangling LV charm detail. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Do the chains and LV charm detach?
A: No. The dangling chains with LV logo charm are part of the design and are not intended to be removed.

Q: How should I care for them to preserve the finish?
A: Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray and lotions; remove before bathing, swimming or exercise; store dry in a pouch when not in use; and gently wipe with a soft cloth. Humidity, seawater and abrasive surfaces can dull or tarnish the finish over time.

Q: Are they hypoallergenic or nickel-free?
A: Specific alloy compositions are not advertised as nickel-free. As Louis Vuitton fashion jewellery generally uses plated brass, those with metal sensitivities should consider brief wear testing or protective barriers, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section on this page. If an item such as a presentation box, dust pouch or spare backs is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Are these earrings authentic?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is authenticated by our in-house experts through multi-point checks of construction, materials and maker’s signatures. Louis Vuitton jewellery typically features clear, well-executed hallmarks; additional close-up photos can be provided on request.

Q: Can I wear them every day?
A: You can, but as vintage fashion jewellery with a plated finish, we recommend rotating your jewellery and following the care advice above to minimise surface scratches and preserve the shine.
