Q: What are the key details of this Louis Vuitton LV Script Necklace?
A: This is a vintage Louis Vuitton necklace in gold-tone metal with a script pendant and lobster clasp closure. The listed necklace length is approximately 40 cm, and the script logo measures about 9 cm wide and 0.5 cm high.

Q: How will a 40 cm necklace sit when worn?
A: On most people, a 40 cm chain sits close to the base of the neck or collarbone. Fit can vary slightly depending on neck size and styling preference, so the listed measurement is the best guide.

Q: Is this necklace solid gold?
A: No. This piece is listed as gold-tone metal, so it has the look of gold but is not described as solid gold. Louis Vuitton fashion jewellery is typically made from metal with a finished surface rather than fine gold.

Q: Is the chain adjustable?
A: The product listing gives a necklace perimeter of 40 cm. As no separate extender measurement is provided for this vintage piece, it is best to treat 40 cm as the wearable length.

Q: What condition is this necklace in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle pre-owned wear.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton fashion jewellery tarnish or lose shine over time?
A: Like most fashion jewellery, it can dull, oxidise, or show wear over time, especially if exposed to water, perfume, lotion, humidity, or abrasive surfaces. Gentle handling helps preserve the finish.

Q: How should I care for it?
A: Apply perfume, hairspray, and lotion before putting the necklace on. Remove it before bathing, swimming, exercising, or cleaning, then store it in a dry place away from moisture and heat. A soft dry cloth is best for light polishing.

Q: What product information is included with this item?
A: This necklace comes with a dust bag and box. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information on this page.
