Q: What is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Trousse Toilette 23?
A: It’s a vintage Louis Vuitton toiletry pouch crafted in Monogram coated canvas with a zip closure. This model measures approximately 23 x 14 x 6 cm and features a beige wipeable lining, one slip pocket and elastic holders to organise small toiletries and cosmetics.

Q: What can it hold and how is the capacity in real life?
A: It comfortably fits daily essentials such as travel‑size bottles (up to 100 ml), a toothbrush, razor, small skincare, make‑up items and cables. Taller pump bottles may need to lie horizontally due to the 14 cm height—avoid overfilling to protect the zip and maintain the shape.

Q: Is the canvas waterproof and is it suitable for bathroom use?
A: Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas is water‑resistant but not fully waterproof. Light splashes can be wiped off, but avoid soaking, prolonged steam and direct heat. Keep liquids in sealed containers and promptly dry any moisture with a soft cloth.

Q: How do I clean and care for the lining and exterior?
A: Wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. For the wipeable interior, use a soft cloth with a little mild, non‑alcoholic soap if needed, then wipe clean and let it air dry. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents and alcohol‑based cleaners. Store stuffed lightly to retain shape, away from sunlight and humidity.

Q: Does it have internal organisation?
A: Yes—this piece includes one slip pocket and elastic holders to secure smaller items, making it practical as a travel wash bag or an organiser inside a larger tote or suitcase.

Q: Is it unisex and can it be used beyond toiletries?
A: Absolutely. The Trousse Toilette 23 is widely used by all genders as a wash bag, tech/cord organiser, grooming kit, make‑up case or even a minimalist clutch for travel documents and essentials.

Q: How does it differ from LV’s flat Toiletry Pouch styles (e.g., 26)?
A: The Trousse Toilette 23 is more structured with a gusseted profile, zip‑around top edge, wipeable lining and interior organisers. The flat Toiletry Pouch styles are slimmer with a simple open compartment and are often used as clutches; the Trousse is better for standing bottles and organised packing.

Q: Where is it made and will there be a date code or microchip?
A: Many Trousse Toilette pieces are made in France; please check our photos for the specific stamp on this item. Older LV items often have a date code (typically inside or near the pocket), while newer items may have an embedded microchip and no visible code. The presence or absence of a code is not definitive—A Retro Tale authenticates every item through rigorous multi‑point checks.

Q: Does this listing include original accessories like a box or dust bag?
A: Inclusions vary for pre‑owned pieces. Please refer to the Accessories section and photos for exactly what’s included for this item. If an accessory isn’t shown or mentioned, it is not included.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton or a specialist repair the zip or interior if needed?
A: Repairs such as zip replacement or interior work may be possible through Louis Vuitton boutiques or reputable leather specialists, subject to assessment, parts availability and fees. For best results, consult LV or an experienced repairer familiar with coated canvas and vintage linings.
