Q: What is the design inspiration behind Tiffany & Co.'s Olive Leaf earrings?
A: The Olive Leaf motif is a Paloma Picasso design inspired by the olive groves around her home, with the olive branch symbolising peace, hope and harmony. The collection debuted in the early 2010s and continues to be a Tiffany signature.

Q: Are these earrings solid gold and do they feature diamonds?
A: Yes. This pair is crafted in solid 18 ct (750) yellow gold and features round brilliant-cut diamonds set among the leaves, as noted in the product details on this page.

Q: What type of fastening do they have and are the backs included?
A: They are designed for pierced ears with a post back (friction) closure. Any backs included with this pre-owned pair are listed in the product information section.

Q: What hallmarks or signatures should I expect to see?
A: Authentic Tiffany pieces typically bear precise, well-defined stamps such as Tiffany & Co., the metal fineness mark 750 for 18 ct gold, and often the designer’s signature (Paloma Picasso). Exact placement and appearance can vary by piece and country of manufacture.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
A: 18 ct yellow gold is 75% pure and generally well tolerated by most people with sensitive skin. However, individual sensitivities vary; if you have a known metal allergy, consider a patch test or consult a dermatologist before extended wear.

Q: How should I clean and care for these 18 ct gold and diamond earrings?
A: Clean occasionally with a mild jewellery cleaner or a small amount of warm water and gentle soap, using a soft brush to reach crevices. Rinse and dry thoroughly, avoid bleach and harsh chemicals, and store in a soft pouch. Periodic professional cleaning and inspection are recommended to ensure settings remain secure.

Q: Can Tiffany replace a lost single earring or supply replacement earring backs?
A: Tiffany Client Care may be able to assist with replacement half-pairs or backs depending on availability and the exact model. Contact Tiffany Client Care or a boutique for service options and quotes.

Q: Are matching pieces available if I want a set?
A: The Olive Leaf collection includes complementary rings, necklaces, and bracelets in various metals and styles, so you can build a coordinated look. Availability may vary over time.

Q: What is included with this pre-owned pair?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section on this page. If an item (such as a pouch or box) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate Tiffany jewellery?
A: Each piece undergoes multi-point checks by our in-house experts, including verification of hallmarks and designer signatures, metal and gemstone assessment, and close inspection of craftsmanship and construction. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell.
