Q: What are the measurements and how do these earrings sit on the ear?
A: They measure approximately 3.1 cm in height, 2.2 cm in width and 1.0 cm in depth. The hinged latch-back closure is for pierced ears and secures the heart drop close to the lobe for comfortable everyday wear.

Q: Are they solid sterling silver or plated?
A: They are crafted in sterling silver (.925), meaning 92.5% pure silver alloyed with other metals for strength. Tiffany & Co. is historically associated with the .925 sterling standard, and these earrings are not silver-plated.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish, and how can I minimise it?
A: Tarnish is normal for sterling silver and can be accelerated by exposure to air, sulphur, chlorine, lotions and perfumes. Remove before swimming or showering, wipe after wear and store completely dry in a tarnish‑resistant pouch or box to slow tarnishing.

Q: How should I clean them at home?
A: Gently polish with a soft silver cloth. For heavier tarnish, use a small amount of silver jewellery cleaner per the product instructions, then rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cloths and harsh chemicals.

Q: Can Tiffany clean, polish or repair these vintage earrings?
A: Yes. Tiffany offers professional cleaning, polishing (for a fee on sterling silver) and repairs such as hinge tightening. You can take them to a Tiffany store or arrange a mail‑in service directly with Tiffany & Co.

Q: Can I replace a single lost earring or a broken latch?
A: Tiffany may be able to replace a single earring or service components subject to availability and assessment. Contact Tiffany Client Care or visit a store for options and pricing.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
A: Tiffany sterling silver is .925 silver alloyed primarily with other metals such as copper. Many people with sensitivities wear sterling silver comfortably, but reactions vary by individual. If you have known metal sensitivities, consider a patch test or consult a jeweller before prolonged wear.

Q: Do they come with a Tiffany box or pouch?
A: This listing includes no accessories. Everything included is stated under Accessories on this page; if an item like a pouch or box is not listed, it is not included.

Q: Are these still part of the current collection?
A: The Return to Tiffany collection dates back to the 1960s and evolves over time. This pair is a vintage design in sterling silver, so current in‑store offerings may differ from this exact style.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this item?
A: Every piece is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, craftsmanship, hallmarks and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items and can share additional details on request.
