Q: Are these Christian Dior J’Adior Rhinestone Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid gold?
A: Dior J’Adior earrings are fashion jewellery crafted in aged gold‑finish metal with crystal embellishment and the ‘J’ADIOR’ signature. They are not solid gold. This pair features aged gold‑finish metal with white crystals.

Q: What are the measurements and how will they sit on the ear?
A: The listed measurements are approximately 2.5 cm (height) x 0.5 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (depth). Visual drop and coverage vary by ear shape. If you’d like the precise gram weight or an on‑ear photo for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: How do they fasten? Are they secure for everyday wear?
A: This pair has a hinge closure for pierced ears, designed for a secure fit when properly closed. As with all statement earrings, remove them for sport, swimming or heavy activity to avoid knocks and loss.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys can contain nickel, and sensitivities vary by person. If your skin is reactive, consider using silicone comfort backs or a clear barrier product on contact points, keep posts clean and dry, and discontinue wear if irritation occurs. We can suggest hypoallergenic alternatives on request.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Dior earrings?
A: Dior costume jewellery commonly features DIOR or CD signatures, and the J’ADIOR motif itself is a design signature. Stamp placement and format vary by season and model. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this pair, which is noted as made in France.

Q: How should I care for the aged gold‑finish metal and crystals?
A: Keep the earrings dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions, hand sanitiser and cleaning chemicals. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and store them separately in a pouch or box to prevent scratches. Avoid soaking, ultrasonic cleaners and chemical dips.

Q: Can I wear them in water or while applying fragrance?
A: We recommend removing Dior fashion jewellery before showering, swimming or applying fragrance and cosmetics. Moisture and chemicals can accelerate finish wear and may affect crystal settings over time.

Q: What if a crystal is lost—can they be repaired or replated?
A: A competent jeweller can often replace missing crystals and tighten settings. Replating of aged gold‑finish metal may be possible but can alter the original appearance and affect resale value. Boutique support for vintage costume jewellery varies by location and era; we’re happy to advise on reputable specialists.

Q: Are they heavy?
A: J’Adior earrings are designed to offer presence without excessive weight, though comfort varies by wearer. If you’d like the exact gram weight, message us and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: This pair is in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. Accessories are not included unless specifically shown or stated—this listing notes no accessories. Returns are accepted under our standard policy; please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
