Q: What defines the Hermès Clipper 28mm Diamond Watch?
A: Produced in 2004, this Clipper (Ref. CP1.322) is a luxurious iteration of the house's iconic nautical timepiece. It features a 28mm case crafted from stainless steel and 18k rose gold, distinguished by a diamond-set bezel and a lustrous white mother-of-pearl dial with a date display.

Q: What is the history behind the Clipper design?
A: Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1981, the Clipper collection draws inspiration from the portholes of 19th-century sailing ships. Its perfectly round bezel and rivet-like details evoke the maritime spirit of the great three-masted clippers that once sailed the high seas.

Q: Is this watch powered by a battery?
A: Yes, this model is equipped with a precision Swiss quartz movement. This ensures accurate timekeeping and requires minimal maintenance compared to automatic mechanical movements, apart from periodic battery changes.

Q: Will this watch fit my wrist?
A: This specific timepiece is currently sized for a very petite wrist, fitting a circumference of 11.5cm or smaller. It is likely that links were removed by the previous owner. If you require a larger fit, additional links would need to be sourced separately.

Q: What materials are used in this timepiece?
A: The watch showcases a sophisticated two-tone aesthetic, combining robust stainless steel with elegant 18k rose gold on the case and bracelet. The bezel is embellished with diamonds, adding a touch of brilliance to the classic porthole silhouette.

Q: Is the watch water-resistant?
A: The Clipper line was originally designed with water resistance in mind (often rated to 50 or 100 metres when new). However, as this is a vintage piece from 2004, we cannot guarantee its current watertightness. We recommend treating it as splash-resistant only and avoiding swimming or showering with it.

Q: What is the condition of this specific watch?
A: This watch is in Very Good condition (rated 353326). It shows signs of use consistent with its age, including scratches on the case, case back, and bracelet. The crystal and dial remain in excellent condition.

Q: What is included with the purchase?
A: This timepiece comes as a complete set, including the original Hermès box, the outer box, and the original certificate. This adds significant value and collectability to the piece.

Q: How do I set the date?
A: The date is displayed at the 3 o'clock position. To adjust it, pull the crown out to the first notch (Quickset position) and turn it. Pulling the crown to the second notch allows you to set the time. Always push the crown back in firmly after adjusting.
