Q: What typically fits inside the Miu Miu Ivy Tote Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 35 × 31 × 2 cm and one open main compartment, it comfortably holds A4 documents, a 13-inch laptop or large tablet, a long wallet, phone, keys and a small pouch. Slim 14-inch devices may also fit without a padded sleeve—please compare your device’s dimensions to the measurements listed.

Q: Does it close securely?
A: This Ivy Tote has an open top with one main compartment. For added security, keep valuables in a zipped pouch or a removable bag insert and carry the tote with the opening facing you in crowded areas.

Q: Can I wear it on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The dual top handles have an approximate 30 cm drop, making it comfortable to wear over the shoulder on light layers.

Q: What is the leather like and how should I care for it?
A: The Ivy line is commonly crafted in smooth calf leather with a soft hand. Expect light surface marks with normal use; these can often be gently buffed with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from oils, dyes and prolonged sunlight, avoid heavy rain, and if it gets wet, blot and air-dry. Store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag and use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly a few times a year.

Q: Will it work as a work bag—does it fit a laptop?
A: Yes, most 13-inch laptops fit given the 35 cm width and 31 cm height. Slim 14-inch models may fit, but bulky protective sleeves can be tight due to the sleek 2 cm depth. If in doubt, measure your device against the bag’s measurements.

Q: Is this the same as the current Ivy bag sold by Miu Miu?
A: The Ivy is an ongoing line released over multiple seasons in various materials (leather, canvas, raffia, crochet) and sizes. Details and interiors can vary by season. This piece is a vintage leather tote with an open top, one main compartment and beige canvas lining—please rely on the measurements and product information on this page for specifics.

Q: What items are included with this listing?
A: The product information indicates no additional items are included. When new, many Miu Miu bags originally came with a branded dust bag and an authenticity card, but vintage pieces may no longer retain these.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, logo stamps, hardware engravings and interior labels. For Miu Miu, consistent logo typography, clean embossing, high-quality hardware and neat construction are key indicators. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide further details on request.

Q: How do I keep the beige canvas lining clean?
A: Gently vacuum with a clean brush attachment or wipe with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. For small marks, use a mild fabric cleaner sparingly and test on an inconspicuous area first. Storing pens and cosmetics in pouches helps prevent transfer or spills.
