Q: What are the key details of this Rolex Lady Datejust Ref. 179174?
A: It is a 26 mm Oystersteel Lady-Datejust with an 18 ct white gold fluted bezel, pink dial with date, sapphire crystal with Cyclops, Jubilee bracelet in steel, and an automatic chronometer movement. Factory specification for the Oyster case is 100 metres water resistance when properly sealed and pressure-tested.

Q: Which movement does it use and what is the power reserve?
A: The reference 179174 is powered by the Rolex calibre 2235, a COSC-certified self-winding movement with an approximate 48-hour power reserve.

Q: Is the fluted bezel really white gold?
A: Yes. On white Rolesor Lady-Datejust models like this, the fluted bezel is crafted in solid 18 ct white gold, paired with an Oystersteel case and bracelet.

Q: Can I swim with it?
A: The Lady-Datejust’s Oyster case is designed to be waterproof to 100 metres when all seals are intact and the crown is fully screwed down. As with any pre-owned watch, water resistance is not guaranteed without a recent pressure test, so we recommend testing before swimming and avoiding hot tubs/saunas.

Q: How do I set the time and date safely?
A: Unscrew the crown. If the watch has stopped, wind it about 25–30 turns. Pull to the first click to set the date (quickset) and to the second click to set the time. Avoid using the date change between roughly 8 pm and 4 am. After setting, push the crown in and screw it down firmly to maintain water resistance.

Q: What wrist size will this watch fit, and can it be adjusted?
A: This piece is currently sized to approximately 16 cm wrist circumference. The Jubilee bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links; a professional watchmaker or authorised service centre can assist if you require extra links or sizing.

Q: What is the difference between ref. 179174 and ref. 279174?
A: The 179174 is the earlier 26 mm Lady-Datejust with calibre 2235. Rolex later transitioned to the 28 mm Lady-Datejust (e.g., ref. 279174) with calibre 2236 around 2015–2016, bringing a slightly larger case and updated movement while retaining white Rolesor and fluted-bezel options.

Q: Is this model still in production?
A: No. The 26 mm Lady-Datejust, including ref. 179174, has been discontinued and succeeded by the 28 mm Lady-Datejust range.
