Q: What size is this Chanel bag and what fits inside? A: This bag measures approximately 36 x 35 x 9 cm, so it offers a roomy everyday size. It should comfortably hold essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and a tablet-sized item. Please use the listed measurements as the best guide to capacity.
Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody? A: The listed strap drop is approximately 48 cm, which generally makes it well suited for shoulder wear. Depending on your height and styling preference, it may sit too high for a true hands-free crossbody fit, so we recommend comparing the strap drop with a bag you already own.
Q: Is this an authentic vintage Chanel bag? A: This piece includes both an authenticity card and a serial number tag, and the serial number range shown corresponds to the early 1990s. As with all vintage Chanel pieces, these details are part of the overall authentication picture alongside construction, hardware, materials and finishing.
Q: What does the serial number range mean? A: The serial number begins with a 2-series code, which is commonly associated with Chanel bags produced between 1991 and 1994. That makes this a vintage Chanel piece from the Karl Lagerfeld era, a period especially appreciated by many collectors.
Q: How should I care for the suede exterior? A: Suede needs gentler handling than smooth leather. Keep the bag away from rain, moisture, oils and prolonged direct sunlight, and avoid overhandling with creams or heavy cleaners. For light surface dust, use a very soft dry cloth or a suede brush designed for delicate materials, and seek a specialist for deeper cleaning.
Q: Is suede a practical choice for regular use? A: Suede gives the bag a soft, rich texture and a distinctly vintage look, but it is generally more delicate than grained or smooth leather. It is best suited to careful use and thoughtful storage rather than heavy daily wear, especially if you want to preserve the finish over time.
Q: What condition is the bag in? A: The overall condition is listed as Very Good. The exterior shows a frayed and worn tassel cord, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. These signs are consistent with a well-kept vintage bag and are worth reviewing closely in the product images if you prefer minimal wear.
Q: What is included with the bag? A: According to the product information, this item comes with an authenticity card and a serial number tag. If you are looking for any additional packaging or extras, only the items stated in the product information should be considered included.
