Q: How does this Chanel Leather Chain Choker fit?
A: This piece has a perimeter of 34 cm, so it is designed to sit close to the neck in a true choker style. For the best fit, compare the 34 cm measurement with a necklace or choker you already wear comfortably, or measure around the part of the neck where you want it to sit.

Q: Is this choker adjustable?
A: The product information lists a 34 cm perimeter, so it should be treated as a close-fitting choker. If you usually prefer a looser fit, we recommend checking the measurement carefully before purchase.

Q: What materials and finish does this piece have?
A: This is a Chanel Leather Chain Choker, combining a leather-woven chain look with a gold-tone finish. The listed product colour is Gold, giving it the classic Chanel jewellery look that works well both on its own and layered with longer necklaces.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: The choker is listed in Very Good condition with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful previous wear on a vintage Chanel jewellery piece.

Q: What is included with the choker?
A: No accessories are included with this item. Please refer to the product information for the full included set, as anything not listed there should be considered not included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel leather chain choker?
A: To help preserve the finish, avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, hairspray and water. After wearing, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and store it separately in a dry place so the chain and finish are protected from rubbing and moisture.

Q: Can I wear this every day?
A: Yes, but vintage fashion jewellery benefits from mindful wear. It is best suited to occasional or careful regular use rather than rough daily wear, as repeated exposure to cosmetics, humidity and friction can increase surface wear over time.

Q: How can I tell if a vintage Chanel choker is authentic?
A: Authentic vintage Chanel jewellery is usually assessed through a combination of details rather than a single sign. Experts look at overall construction quality, weight, finishing, signature or hallmark details where applicable, consistency of design, and natural ageing. At A Retro Tale, all items are vetted for authenticity before sale.

Q: Is a 34 cm Chanel choker suitable for layering?
A: Yes. A 34 cm choker creates a close neckline that pairs especially well with mid-length chains or pendants for a layered look. It can also be worn alone as a statement piece, particularly with open necklines, structured jackets or simple knitwear.
