Q: What is this Chanel necklace?
A: It is a Chanel costume pendant necklace featuring a star with a roller skate motif in gold‑tone metal, embellished with rhinestones (strass) and faux pearls, and finished with a lobster clasp. Chanel showcased roller skate and star motifs in its Cruise 2024 collection; the season stamp on the piece confirms the exact release.

Q: What are the measurements and how does it fit when worn?
A: The chain perimeter is approximately 77 cm and the pendant measures about 7 × 7 × 1 cm. It is designed to sit as a longer pendant, generally around the mid‑chest on most wearers. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the length adjustable?
A: There is no dedicated extender; it fastens with a lobster clasp. Some wearers clasp into a different chain link for a small adjustment, but the intended length is approximately 77 cm.

Q: What materials is it made from?
A: Gold‑tone metal with rhinestones (strass) and faux pearls. These are typical materials for Chanel fashion jewellery pieces of this style.

Q: How should I care for the rhinestones and faux pearls?
A: Handle with care and avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions, and cosmetics. Do not use soap or chemical cleaners. Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store it separately in a pouch away from heat and humidity.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, while swimming, or during exercise?
A: No. Prolonged moisture and perspiration can loosen glued elements and dull the finish. Remove the necklace before bathing, swimming, or workouts to preserve the plating and stones.

Q: How can I verify authenticity and where is the hallmark located?
A: Chanel costume necklaces typically have an authenticity stamp on a small round or oval cartouche near the clasp. Depending on the era, it may include the Chanel logo and a code indicating season and year. Stamps vary by period, and on some authentic vintage pieces plaques can be missing due to wear. We are happy to share close‑up photos of the stamp on request.

Q: Where is Chanel costume jewellery made?
A: Chanel costume jewellery is commonly stamped Made in France or Made in Italy depending on the season and workshop. The specific origin, if present, appears on the hallmark plaque.

Q: What is included and what is the condition?
A: This item is in Very Good condition with light trace of use and includes an A Retro Tale dust bag. Everything included is listed under Accessories; if something like an original box or certificate is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: If a rhinestone ever goes missing, can it be replaced?
A: Replacement is often possible through a professional costume‑jewellery restorer who can match strass size and colour. Availability of brand repairs for fashion jewellery can vary by region, so independent specialists are commonly used. To minimise the risk of loss, keep the piece dry and avoid knocks.
