Q: Is this Christian Dior J’Adior choker authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What is it made from? Is the metal solid silver?
A: This is Dior fashion jewellery crafted with a black velvet ribbon, crystal‑embellished ‘J’ADIOR’ lettering and silver‑toned plated hardware (often described by Dior as palladium‑finish). It is not solid sterling silver. Please review our close‑up photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm any aspect of the composition for this piece.

Q: What are the measurements and how will it fit?
A: The wearable perimeter is listed at approximately 38 cm and is adjustable via the chain; the velvet ribbon height is about 0.5 cm. As a choker, it typically sits at the base of the neck—measure your neck snugly and compare to the 38 cm perimeter, then use the extender for your preferred fit. If you’d like precise drop length or additional measurements, just ask and we’ll measure them for you.

Q: How does it fasten and is it secure?
A: It features an adjustable chain with a lobster clasp closure, a secure and easy‑to‑use fastening. Always check the clasp and adjustment ring are fully engaged before wear and avoid pulling or twisting the velvet strap.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on a Dior choker?
A: Dior fashion jewellery commonly bears a DIOR signature on the logo element and/or a small plaque or charm near the clasp; some pieces also include a season or origin stamp. Placement and wording vary by collection. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this necklace.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is it nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, we recommend keeping the metal parts off bare skin where possible, using a clear barrier product on contact points, and discontinuing wear if irritation occurs. Contact us for tailored guidance if needed.

Q: How should I care for the velvet ribbon and crystals?
A: Keep the choker dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray, hand sanitiser and cleaning chemicals. After wear, gently lint‑roll the velvet and wipe metal/crystal areas with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Spot‑clean the velvet only (do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips). Store flat in a pouch/box, out of direct sunlight, and separate from other pieces to prevent snagging and scratches.

Q: Can it be resized, repaired or replated?
A: The length is adjustable via the chain; beyond that, the velvet strap and logo element are not designed for resizing. Competent jewellery workshops can often replace or adjust a clasp, tighten crystal settings, or perform gentle replating on fashion jewellery. Any alteration can affect originality and resale value—ask us for reputable specialists if needed.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This necklace is in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. Accessories are not included unless specifically shown or stated—this listing includes no accessories. Returns are accepted under our standard policy; please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.

Q: Any styling tips for this J’Adior choker?
A: Its slim black velvet and crystal logo make it an ideal statement layered with delicate chains or worn solo with a crew or off‑the‑shoulder neckline. For comfort, position the velvet flat against the neck and adjust the extender so the logo sits centred without pressure.
