Q: What is the Hermès Heure H Ronde 25mm Ref HR1.210?
A: It’s a vintage, Swiss‑made Hermès ladies’ watch with a 25mm round stainless‑steel case, signature “H” lugs, a white Arabic‑numeral dial and a black grained leather strap with pin buckle. This piece comes with its original Hermès box.

Q: What movement does this model use, and does it need a battery?
A: Heure H Ronde watches from this era are typically powered by a Swiss quartz movement (battery‑operated), though some variants can be automatic. For quartz versions, a battery usually lasts around 2–3 years; please have a watchmaker confirm the exact cell type and replace it professionally.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I wear it while swimming?
A: Water resistance on vintage watches is not guaranteed. Treat this watch as splash‑resistant only and avoid swimming, showering or submersion. If light water resistance is desired, have the gaskets replaced and the watch pressure‑tested by an authorised watchmaker.

Q: What wrist sizes suit a 25mm case, and is it unisex?
A: 25mm offers a petite, elegant profile ideal for smaller wrists. While historically marketed as a ladies’ size, it can be worn unisex depending on personal style. The leather strap is adjustable; contact us with your wrist measurement for fit guidance.

Q: How do I set the time on this watch?
A: Gently pull the crown out and turn it to set the hands to the correct time, then push the crown back in. Avoid setting the time while the watch is wet, and handle the crown carefully to protect the stem and seals.

Q: Can the strap be replaced, and which straps fit?
A: Yes. The watch uses a standard pin‑buckle leather strap. Hermès offers replacement straps, and quality third‑party straps can fit if they match the correct lug width and thickness. Contact us and we’ll confirm the lug width and suggest suitable options.

Q: Does it have a sapphire crystal?
A: Many Hermès watches feature sapphire crystals, but specifications can vary by reference and year. We can confirm the crystal type on this exact HR1.210 if you wish.

Q: How does the Ronde differ from the classic square Heure H?
A: The Ronde keeps the iconic Hermès “H” lugs but uses a round case and dial, offering a softer, more traditional watch silhouette compared with the square Heure H case.

Q: What is included and is it authentic?
A: This watch is delivered with its original Hermès box. Papers are not specified unless stated in the listing. A Retro Tale professionally authenticates every item, and the watch bears the correct Hermès markings and Swiss origin indications.

Q: What is the condition, and what care do you recommend?
A: Overall condition is Good, with scratches on the case and wear on the leather strap (see photos). Wipe the case with a soft microfibre cloth. Keep the leather away from moisture, perfumes, oils and solvents; use a dry cloth only. Store the watch away from magnets and extreme temperatures.

Q: What about servicing and warranty?
A: Quartz watches generally need only periodic battery changes and occasional gasket replacement; automatic variants benefit from servicing roughly every 5–10 years. This piece is sold with A Retro Tale’s 12‑month mechanical guarantee—contact us for details on coverage.
