Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Pochette Jour GM?
A: As a large, slim document pouch (approx. 35 × 25 × 2 cm), it usually fits a 13-inch laptop (most MacBook Air/Pro 13" without a bulky case), an 11-inch or 12.9-inch iPad Pro, A4/US Letter documents, a slim charger/cables, smartphone, cardholder and keys. Bulky items and thick device cases may feel tight—compare your device’s dimensions with our Measurements or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a 14-inch laptop?
A: Many 14-inch laptops exceed 31 × 22 cm; while some very slim models may squeeze in, we generally recommend up to 13 inches for a comfortable fit. Share your device’s dimensions and we’ll advise or test-fit where possible.

Q: Does it have a strap or handle? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: No—Pochette Jour GM is a handheld/under‑arm portfolio with no D‑rings. It’s commonly used on its own or as an organiser inside a tote or briefcase. We don’t recommend aftermarket hardware that requires adhesives or drilling.

Q: How secure is the closure and what’s the interior layout?
A: It features a zip‑top closure for good day‑to‑day security. Inside, this piece has a black microfibre lining with one internal slip pocket to separate flat items like a phone or passport. Please review our photos for the exact layout.

Q: What materials and finish does this piece have?
A: This listing specifies black grained leather, silver‑tone hardware, black microfibre lining and a zip closure. Our photos show the precise texture and details of this exact pouch.

Q: Is it suitable for work or travel documents?
A: Yes—A4/US Letter documents, slim folders and travel essentials fit well. For boarding passes or passports, the interior slip pocket is convenient. We recommend keeping liquids and pens in a separate pouch to avoid marks inside.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather, lining and hardware?
A: Keep away from moisture, oils and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; use a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner very sparingly after testing on a discreet spot. For the microfibre lining, use a clean lint roller or soft brush; avoid wet cleaners. Store it flat or lightly stuffed and upright in a breathable dust bag, and avoid overloading to preserve the slim profile. Hardware can develop hairline scratches—avoid abrasive surfaces.

Q: Is the Pochette Jour GM unisex?
A: Absolutely—its minimalist design makes it a versatile, unisex portfolio that pairs well with business or casual looks.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is dating handled?
A: Authentic Louis Vuitton pouches feature an interior heat‑stamp (e.g., “LOUIS VUITTON Paris” and country of origin). Older pieces include a date code; from around 2021 LV transitioned to an embedded microchip. This piece shows date code TY0280 (interpreting to the 8th week of 2020) and is stamped Made in France—contact us for close‑up photos.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Included items are listed under “Accessories.” For this item we note: box and dust bag. Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and date code/microchip. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell.
