Q: Are these Christian Dior Petit CD Rhinestone Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid gold and are the stones diamonds?
A: These are Dior fashion jewellery earrings crafted in gold‑finish metal with clear rhinestones. The stones are man‑made crystals (not diamonds), and the metal is plated rather than solid gold. Please review the close‑up photos and features and contact us if you’d like us to confirm any aspect of the composition for this pair.

Q: What are the size and measurements? Will they feel heavy on the ear?
A: The listed measurements are approximately 2.7 cm (height) x 1.5 cm (width) x 1.2 cm (depth). They offer a refined drop that typically sits just below the earlobe. Weight is comfortable for most wearers; if you’d like the exact gram weight or a photo on ear for scale, just ask and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: What is the closure and are they for pierced ears?
A: They feature a push‑back (butterfly) closure and are designed for pierced ears. For extra security you may use silicone stoppers or larger comfort backs.

Q: Do Dior Petit CD earrings contain nickel? Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, monitor comfort, consider using hypoallergenic earring backs or a clear barrier product on contact points, and discontinue wear if irritation occurs. We’re happy to advise further if needed.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Dior earrings?
A: Dior costume jewellery usually features the brand signature (CD/DIOR) and, depending on the season, may include a country of origin stamp. Placement varies by collection and era; older Dior pieces may show makers such as Grossé. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this pair.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑finish metal and rhinestones?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips, as moisture and chemicals can dull plating and affect rhinestone foils. Store individually in a pouch/box to minimise scratches and tangling of the chains.

Q: Can they be repaired, replated or have stones replaced?
A: A competent jeweller can often tighten posts, replace missing rhinestones and perform light replating. Dior boutiques may offer service at their discretion, particularly for current styles, but availability for vintage/discontinued pieces varies. Any modification can affect originality and resale value—ask us for reputable specialists if needed.

Q: Are the chains or star charms removable? Can the length be adjusted?
A: The chains and star charms are fixed parts of the design and are not adjustable or removable. If you prefer a shorter drop, we can suggest similar Petit CD styles with different silhouettes.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: This pair is in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. This listing includes a box, dust bag and booklet. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
