Q: What size is this Love bracelet and how does it fit?
A: This example corresponds to Cartier size 20 with an inner circumference of about 19.5 cm. The classic band is approximately 0.7 cm wide. As a rule of thumb, measure your wrist and add 1 cm for a close fit or 2 cm for a looser fit to choose your Cartier size.

Q: How does the closure work and how should I put it on?
A: The Love bracelet is made of two rigid halves that are secured with screws using the supplied screwdriver. Cartier recommends having a second person hold the halves together while you gently tighten the screws. Use the correct screwdriver and avoid over‑tightening to prevent stripping the screw heads.

Q: Is this the classic or the small model, and what is the difference?
A: This is the classic model with diamonds. The classic is the wider version (approximately 6–7 mm). The small model is slimmer at about 3.65 mm and features a hinge on one side.

Q: How many diamonds does it have and what is the total carat weight?
A: This variant is set with four round brilliant‑cut diamonds. Cartier lists the classic four‑diamond model at approximately 0.42 carat total, with slight variations depending on bracelet size.

Q: Can the Love bracelet be resized?
A: No. Due to the rigid, screw‑lock design, Love bracelets are not resized. If you need a different size, a Cartier boutique can advise on available options for exchanging to another size.

Q: Can I shower, swim or exercise in it?
A: It is designed for daily wear, but frequent exposure to soap, chlorinated or salt water, perfume and cosmetics can dull the finish or affect settings. We recommend removing it for swimming, when using cleaning products, or while applying lotions and perfume, and gently drying it after contact with water.

Q: Will it set off airport security? Do I need to remove it?
A: Experiences vary. Many travellers pass through without issue, but metal detectors may occasionally alarm and additional screening can be requested. As the bracelet requires a screwdriver to remove, allow extra time and follow the security officers’ guidance at the airport.

Q: How should I care for surface scratches and general maintenance?
A: Micro‑scratches are normal with wear. Clean gently with lukewarm water, a mild soap and a soft cloth. Cartier can buff or polish the bracelet if desired, but polishing removes a fine layer of metal, so it should be done sparingly over the lifetime of the bracelet. Store it in its box when not worn.
