Q: What model and year is this Omega Seamaster?
A: This is an Omega Seamaster 300m Chronograph from 1999, reference 2598.80.00. It is Swiss-made and features a blue dial.

Q: What size is the watch, and will the bracelet fit my wrist?
A: The case diameter is listed as 41 mm. The bracelet fits a wrist measuring 18 cm or smaller. If your wrist is larger, please contact us to discuss sizing before purchasing; additional links are not included.

Q: Is this watch automatic or battery-powered?
A: This reference uses an automatic mechanical movement, which winds through wrist movement rather than using a battery. OMEGA lists calibre 1164 for this model, with an original power reserve of approximately 44 hours. Actual running time can vary with the movement’s condition and how fully it is wound.

Q: What does the chronograph function do?
A: The chronograph measures elapsed time independently of the normal time display, allowing you to time events while the watch continues to show the time. This reference also features a date display and a small-seconds subdial.

Q: What materials are used in this model?
A: OMEGA specifies a stainless-steel case and bracelet for reference 2598.80.00, together with a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Sapphire is scratch-resistant, but it is not immune to damage.

Q: What condition is this particular watch in?
A: This watch is graded Very Good Condition. The exterior has light traces of use, the internal condition is rated Very Good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. It is a pre-owned watch, so some signs of wear should be expected.

Q: Can I wear this watch for swimming or diving?
A: This model was originally rated to 300 metres of water resistance. However, that specification does not confirm the current water resistance of this 1999 watch, and no recent pressure-test result is provided in the product information. Have its water resistance checked by an authorised OMEGA service centre before swimming or diving.

Q: Does the watch come with its original box or papers?
A: No accessories are included, so this watch does not come with an original box or papers. Please refer to the product information for the included items.

Q: Has this watch been serviced, and how often should it be serviced?
A: A last service date is not provided in the product information. The Very Good internal condition rating should not be taken as confirmation of a recent service. OMEGA generally recommends a complete service every five to eight years and a yearly water-resistance check; please contact us if you need further details about this watch’s service history.

Q: How should I care for this pre-owned Seamaster?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes and cosmetic products, which may damage the case, bracelet or seals. Until its current water resistance has been confirmed, avoid immersing it in water.
