Q: What are the materials and measurements of this necklace?
A: It is crafted in sterling silver. The bow pendant measures approximately 15 mm × 15 mm, and the fine chain is approximately 41 cm (around 16 inches) with a spring ring clasp. Please see the Measurements on this page for full details.

Q: Is the chain length adjustable?
A: The chain for this design is typically a fixed 41 cm/16 inch length with a single clasp ring, so it is not adjustable. If you need extra length, a jeweller can add a discreet extender without altering the pendant.

Q: Is the bow pendant removable from the chain?
A: On many Tiffany Bow Ribbon necklaces the pendant is designed to sit on the supplied chain and is not intended to be removed. For this exact piece, please review the photos or contact us and we will confirm fitment for you.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish, and how should I care for it?
A: Yes, sterling silver naturally oxidises over time. Clean it occasionally with mild soap and warm water, dry thoroughly, and refresh the shine with a quality silver polishing cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasives, and store the necklace dry in a soft anti‑tarnish pouch or cloth when not in use.

Q: Can I shower or swim while wearing it?
A: We recommend removing sterling silver jewellery before showering, exercising, swimming, or using hot tubs and household cleaners to minimise tarnish and residue build‑up. Apply perfumes and lotions first, allow them to dry, then put the necklace on.

Q: Is sterling silver suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Tiffany sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver alloyed primarily with copper and is generally nickel‑free, which most people with nickel sensitivity tolerate well. Individual reactions vary; if you have known metal allergies, consider a patch test or consult a professional.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information. For this listing, the product information notes that no additional items (such as box, pouch or papers) are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this necklace?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, craftsmanship, engravings and hallmarks (for example, Tiffany & Co. and metal purity stamps). We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.

Q: Can Tiffany service or polish the necklace?
A: Tiffany & Co. boutiques offer professional cleaning and a range of services, including polishing and certain fit alterations, subject to assessment and local availability. You can also maintain the piece at home with approved silver care products used as directed.
