Q: Are these solid gold?
A: No. This pair is Dior fashion jewellery crafted in gold‑toned metal, not solid gold. The finish is a plated tone, so please follow gold‑plated care guidelines to preserve the colour and shine.

Q: Are they for pierced ears or clip‑ons?
A: They feature a latch‑back closure designed for pierced ears. A latch‑back uses a hinged post that passes through the ear and snaps securely into a catch, offering a comfortable, stable fit for drops and hoops.

Q: What are the measurements and overall look on the ear?
A: Approximate size is 50 mm in height and 21 mm in width. With their drop length and heart‑and‑arrow motif, they create a playful Y2K statement without being overly wide. Weight is not provided; if you need a precise gram weight, please contact us.

Q: What era is the “I ♥ Dior” heart and arrow motif associated with?
A: The heart‑and‑arrow “I Love Dior” motif is widely associated with the early‑2000s (Y2K) Galliano era at Dior, when playful logo pieces became signature accents. Exact production dates can vary by piece.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This listing includes the earrings only. An original Dior box, dust bag or other extras are not included unless explicitly stated under product information on this page.

Q: Are these safe for sensitive ears (nickel allergy)?
A: As with most fashion jewellery, the base alloy and plating can vary and may contain trace nickel. We cannot guarantee suitability for all sensitivities. If you are nickel‑sensitive, consider using a clear barrier on posts, limit wear time, or opt for solid‑gold pieces instead.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑toned finish?
A: Wipe after wear with a soft, dry cloth; avoid moisture, perfume, hairspray and lotions; store in a dry pouch, separate from other pieces; and never use dips, ultrasonic cleaners or abrasives. If needed, clean gently with lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a very soft brush, then dry thoroughly.

Q: How do you authenticate this Dior piece?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point in‑house review of materials, construction and signatures against known references. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.

Q: Can these earrings be adjusted or resized?
A: Earrings cannot be resized like rings or bracelets. If you find latch‑backs snug, a professional jeweller may make a minor adjustment to the closure tension, but structural changes are not recommended for plated fashion jewellery.
