Q: Is this pair authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are these Chanel CC Cubes Dangling Earrings made from? Are they solid silver?
A: Chanel costume jewellery is typically crafted from plated base metal; unless a piece is specifically described as fine jewellery, it is not solid precious metal. This pair features a silver‑tone finish with black cube details and the interlocking CC logo.

Q: Are they for pierced ears and what type of backing do they use?
A: Yes—this pair is for pierced ears. Chanel dangling earrings of this style commonly use a post with a butterfly clutch. Please refer to our close‑up photos for the exact backing on this pair; we can include silicone stoppers on request for extra security.

Q: What are the measurements and how will they sit when worn?
A: They measure approximately 4.5 cm (height) x 2.3 cm (width) x 1.0 cm (depth). With a 4.5 cm drop, they typically hang just below the earlobe with a noticeable yet wearable swing. If you’d like the exact gram weight or a photo on model for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: Do they have stamps or hallmarks? Can they be dated?
A: Many vintage Chanel earrings feature an oval or round plaque stamped CHANEL, often with “Made in France/Italy” and sometimes a season code (e.g., 95A for Autumn 1995). Placement and format vary by era. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this piece; this pair is noted as Made in France.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain nickel and are not advertised as nickel‑free. If you have sensitivities, consider a clear barrier product on the posts, limit wear time, and discontinue use if irritation occurs. We’re happy to discuss options.

Q: How should I care for the silver‑tone finish and black cubes?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and hand sanitiser. Put jewellery on last and wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after wear. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. Store individually in a pouch or box to prevent scratches and friction that can dull the finish.

Q: Can I wear them in water or while exercising?
A: We recommend removing the earrings before showering, swimming, sauna/steam or workouts. Moisture, heat and chemicals can accelerate wear to plating and any resin/enamel components.

Q: What is included with this listing?
A: Delivered with no accessories unless specifically shown or stated. If you need a protective pouch or gift box, contact us and we’ll advise on options.

Q: What condition should I expect and can I return them?
A: They are in Very Good Condition, meaning light signs of careful wear may be present unless noted otherwise. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
